29 June - 6 July: Photography...
This is a course for those who have never been taught the art of photography. It won’t confuse you with technical jargon, rather you will be encouraged to look at ideas and approaches to help you take better photographs.

There will be exercises that help you handle and control your camera, but the emphasis is on the creative rather than the gadget and there will be regular viewing and critique of images to help you to extend your skills.

Your facilitator, Kel Portman, is formerly a senior lecturer in printmaking, photography and digital arts; his teaching process is based on working with the individual and helping to expand creativity through projects and exercises with feedback and encouragement. He regularly curates exhibitions and events, working with other artists, groups and communities on projects initiated by his landart collective 'Walking the Land'.
